SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES  Sunday mornings at 8:45 a.m.

Two classes are offered - the Adult Fellowship Class, often a Bible study, and the Adult Forum Class focusing on current issues and other thought-provoking topics. There is Sunday School for children and youth, ages 3 through 12th grade.  Classes meet from September through May.  Nursery available for infants and toddlers. 

CONFIRMATION CLASS FOR 7TH AND 8TH GRADERS  

Our Confirmation class for seventh and eighth graders uses the ELCA curriculum Here We Stand which focuses on growing the faith of youth. Interacting with a group of adult mentors, the students learn, serve, and enjoy fellowship opportunities.

THURSDAY NOON BIBLE STUDY  Participants bring a bag lunch and enjoy a time of fellowship and Bible Study led by the Pastor.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL  Each summer, usually in mid-August, this excellent one-week Bible school program is offered for children in preschool through 6th grade. 

YOUTH GROUPS  Our youth groups are an important component of our congregation.  Groups for 4^th- 6^th graders and 7^th- 8^th graders meet monthly.  A senior high group meets twice a month during the school year. The senior high group plans and participates in a Youth Sunday service, take part in the annual Chi Rho work camp, the Metro DC Synod Crysalis retreat, the triennial ELCA Youth Gathering, and a variety of other activities. In July 2006, five Christ Church senior high students attended CRUZANDO, the National Youth Gathering in San Antonio, Texas.

PRE-SCHOOL  For more than 45 years, Christ Church has provided a weekday preschool for 2, 3, and 4-year olds during the academic year.  With skilled, dedicated teachers and excellent curriculum, children are well prepared for kindergarten.  For more information, please call Mrs. Ginny Trygstad, Director of the Preschool, at 703-273-4094.  To request enrollment forms by e-mail, please complete the form below:
