SUNDAY SCHOOL FOR ALL AGES Meets at 8:45 a.m. from the Sunday after Labor Day through the last Sunday in May. Two adult classes are offered: Fellowship Class, usually a Bible study, meets in the Parish Hall, and the Adult Forum focusing on current issues and other pertinent topics meets in the Conference Room. There are classes for all children and youth ages 3 through 12th grade, and a nursery for infants and toddlers.

CONFIRMATION MINISTRY WITH 7th AND 8th GRADERS Our Confirmation class uses the ELCA curriculum Here We Stand including The Lutheran Handbook, which focuses on nurturing the faith of youth through study of the Bible, Luther's Small catechism, and church history. Interacting with a group of adult mentors, the students learn, serve, and enjoy fellowship.

THURSDAY NOON LUNCH-BUNCH BIBLE STUDY Participants bring a bag lunch fellowship and and Bible Study led by the Pastor.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Each summer, usually early to mid-August, this excellent one-week Bible school program is offered for children in preschool through 6th grade. Registration forms available here

A Good Time at Bible School

YOUTH GROUPS Our youth are an important members of our congregation. During the school year, groups for 4th - 6th graders and 7th - 8th graders meet monthly, with the senior high group meeting about twice a month. Youth plan and participate in Youth Sunday service, often take part in the annual Chi Rho work camp, attend the Metro DC Synod Crysalis (middle school) and Shekinah (senior high) retreats, the triennial ELCA Youth Gathering, and a variety of other activities. Their service projects include assisting with the Vacation Bible School and child care at the church for Parent's Night Out. In July 2006, five Christ Church senior high students attended CRUZANDO, the National Youth Gathering in San Antonio, Texas.
